Semióticas del WC/Semiotics of the Restroom
2004

In the process of unmasking the hidden sociocultural mechanisms prohibiting the expression of homosexual desire in public and criticizing the process of privatization of the spaces of relationship and therefore of the bodies, which is supposed to be the consequence of the integration process (pay as you go), the artist proposes a cathartic situation, embodying this space of resistance, in which two performers locked in a bathroom develop a ritual of everyday relational situations that are symbolically presented-lived: they feed on waste, undressed they camouflage with the walls, they purify themselves, they explore their bodies and orifices, they fight, they become stigmata, all in the small repressive or liberating space of the toilet.
